What's your costume?

I don't mean to scare you, but we have exactly two weeks left until Halloween. If you're like me, you put off getting a costume until the very last second. I also hate spending money on cheap costumes that don't fit right, and I never really get to use them again. But don't fear, I am about to give you some tips on how you can use what you may already have in your closet or at least show you what you can buy to put together a killer costume, and still get to wear the pieces after October 31st.
I love Halloween, I love the dressing up and being something else for a night, but most of all I love getting free candy! Over the years I have donned many costumes, from Dracula to Godzilla, The Mad Hatter to Olena Tyrell (yes, Cersi, it was me.) My favorite costumes were the ones I made myself. Most of the time I was able to find pieces of the costumes from my own wardrobe, or at least get something I was able to wear again.
One of the easiest and most versatile shirts you can wear is a flannel. With a flannel shirt, you can be a lumberjack, the Brawny Man, a scarecrow, Al from Tool Time (Home Improvement), get a wolf mask and you could even be a camper-turned-werewolf. Not to mention flannel shirts are a fashion staple for fall.
Other easy costumes are Marty McFly (jeans, button down shirt, and a vest), Forrest Gump when he just "felt like running" (red hat, beard, yellow t-shirt, short shorts, athletic socks, and running shoes), and the old faithful Superman costume (button down shirt, glasses, and a Super Man graphic tee under the shirt).
I do encourage you to dress up, it's fun to be someone else for the night. However, don't feel like you have to go and get a bad fitting/cheap costume that you'll only wear for a few hours. Check out the pieces below that you can use to show up everyone at your next Halloween party! Or follow Corbello's Menswear on Pinterest for some more inspiration.
Do good,
